Dr. Virginia Boga is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, family, and individual therapy, and she maintains a private practice in Staten Island, NY.


With over 10 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist and a graduate of Long Island University specializing in Psychodynamic therapy, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise is working with children and adolescents suffering from a variety of clinical issues (depression, anxiety, oppositional behaviors, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and many more). This clinician also has extensive experience working with adults with various diagnostic issues (from Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder to personality disorders). 

In addition to being a prominent psychodynamic therapist, Dr. Virginia Boga has presented at National conferences and to general audiences, speaking on the topics of Ataque de Nervios (a cultural anxiety disorder), ADHD, At-Risk Youth, and Oppositional Disorders.

Dr. Virginia Boga is an interactive, psycho-dynamic therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support but, at the same time, help clients explore and gain insight into their triggers and possible dynamics leading to current symptoms.  Dr. Boga has a focus on relational psychodynamic therapy, understanding the importance of the therapeutic relationship in working through issues and helping clients heal. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
